This programme covers learning in the field of fiber optics specifically the installation of optical fibers externally and over-pole that meets the SKMM standards. This is specially designed as an introductory training module for workers who are working or going to work in the telecommunication industry. This helps participants understand the national and international regulations related to working at height as well as providing the necessary information needed to be able to successfully mitigate working at height risks and implement control measures.

• Introduces the principles, best practice, risks and equipment associated with working at height
• Provide the knowledge and information on OSH legal requirements and also TM's OSHE requirements
 

OPEN TO ALL INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS

• Have good understanding of the basic and principle of optical fiber communication system
• Have good understanding of fiber cable specifications, properties and applications
• Have skills and ability to perform Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) measurement
• Have skills and ability to perform optical fiber coupler characterization
• Have skills and ability to perform optical fiber cable termination to underground enclosure and termination box
