Description

The ability to discuss an issue with one or more other people to determine ways to reach agreement and mutual satisfaction. This usually relates to an issue or issues where both parties have an existing interest or opinion.

Objective

Negotiations typically serve to determine things like: price and payment terms. delivery and production times. The purpose of persuasion in writing is to convince, motivate, or move readers toward a certain point of view, or opinion. The act of trying to persuade automatically implies more than one opinion on the subject can be argued.

Who Should Attend?

Open to all who are interested.

Outline

Persuading involves being able to convince others to take appropriate action. Negotiating involves being able to discuss and reach a mutually satisfactory agreement. Influencing encompasses both of these.
