Description

Food hygiene is a set of food manufacturing practices that aim to minimize biological food hazards through safe and clean operations to protect public health from foodborne diseases.

Objective

It aims to protect the public against food related hazards and frauds, as well as to promote and motivate the preparation, handling, distribution, sale and consumption of safe, high quality food.

These five simple keys to safe and healthy food are: keep clean, separate raw and cooked, cook thoroughly, keep food at safe temperatures, and use safe water and raw materials.
